Donald W. Hansen Memorial Endowed Scholarship

*Amount of Award: $ 1,200 (2 awards per year)

"One of the best friends GSU will ever have" These are the words used time and again to describe Donald Hansen, who died in June, 1985 after a long illness. Don Hansen earned two degrees in public service from GSU, a B.A. in 1976 and an M.A. in 1980. He was director of the GSU Alumni Association for four years and its president from 1982 to 1884. Don was employed at GSU as a coordinator of continuing education from 1979 until his death. It is not surprising that the GSU Alumni Association Board of Directors voted unanimously at its October, 1985 meeting to establish the "Donald W. Hansen Memorial Endowed Scholarship"
