Welcome to Student Employment Office at
Governors State University. We help students to gain part-time
employment to assist them in meeting the expenses of a college
education. Listed below are different areas we offer help in. |

| College
Work-Study Employment
As a part of the Federal Financial Aid package, students are awarded a portion of their Financial Aid as work-study. Students work on campus and when possible, are placed in positions that are related to their academic major. The Financial Aid Office determines eligibility for CWS. |

| On-Campus
/ Student Employment (Non-Work Study)
This employment focuses on the placement of students who are not eligible for work study money, but will like to work on campus. |

|
| Off-Campus
Employment
The Office serves as a clearing house for job seekers, by listing part-time employment that is available with companies, agencies and institutions. The student employment office maintains a part-time job board, used for posting current job vacancies. |

| Off-Campus
College Work Study
Students eligible for CWS money, maybe placed into off-campus positions. The jobs available are targeted toward the twenty undergraduate and twenty three graduate majors at Governors State University. |

| Illinois
Cooperative Work-Study Grant Program.
This program focuses on the development of off-campus, part-time jobs directly related to academic majors in the areas of Business, Sciences, Education and Health Care at Governors State University. This program is administrated by the Office of Career Services. |
